Comments: Ben. 39. Gong 80 compares Tibetan forms with OCh. 樺 *w_rā(k)s a k. of birch. Some TB languages reflect a more archaic shape *KVr, cf.: Bodo-Garo *guʔr / *ku(ʔ)r, Konyak (Chang) khôn, Nocte akhuon, Tangkul akor, Puiron gor.
