References:ND 65 *[ʔ]u/ü[q]ye compares IE with FU *üye 'night' and some highly dubious SH parallels. In ND 157 *ʡaw[y]V he adds FU *[w]oyV- 'sleep, fall asleep', as well as TM *ā(b) (see under *qawV), as well as SH *waHay- (in afaset see *waḥ- 'put; lie down, sleep'); and in ND 1650 *ŋuhy[a] 'to rest, lie, repose' he compares Alt. *ŋūjV with SH *nVhy- 'rest, sleep'. A horrible confusion with *HumŋV q.v., and perhaps indeed more than one root.
