Comments: Av. immobile (B) paradigm (purč̣ína-dul,purč̣á-bi; cf. also Chad. boč̣óni-l,boč̣óna-l / buč̣-bí). There is also a variant (originally dialectal?) purč̣ún 'sty; fruit stone'. Cf. also Kar. Tok. perč̣in (preserving -r-) 'barley'.
In Av. and Kar. Tok. there occurred an assimilatory devoicing *b- > p-; it must have originally been voiced, cf. the Chad. form and Archi ( from Avar) boč̣on 'fruit stone'; also cf. And. burč̣ina 'barley' - obviously an Av. loanword, but with initial b-.
