ALBUMS
A WHOLE NEW THING

Samuel Fouracre <Samuel.Fouracre@dti.gsi.gov.uk> (21.01.2003)

A quick amendment. The reason the vocals on "Let Me Hear It From You" are in the lower register is because Sly is not singing. Bassist Larry Graham takes lead vocals on this track as well as on "Bad Risk."

STAND!

Jon <gray0187@tc.umn.edu> (31.12.2002)

Fantasmically great. No question. I had a friend who analyzed the lyrics to "Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey" a little too much, and he still declares Sly to be a lyrical genius in wit, simplicity and straightforwardness along the lines of say Ray Davies... but dammit, listen to that bass! No wonder Prince worships Graham for the fourstringed demigod that he is! A solid 13, so it shall be!
