The component *aj- meaning 'to jump, roll over' can also be recovered in several composita: Yug. ajāxn3 'перекат на реке' ("jumping tree"); Kur. ajɣan6, Bak., Sur. aj-gan6 / aj-gɔ:n3, Yug. aj-gɔn3 'песец' ("jumping fox"; see also under *kǝqVn). Unclear is the relationship of Ket., Yug. aj-tej5 'bad'. Werner 1, 19 *ajǝ / *ajgǝ 'coire' (with doubts as to the relationship of words meaning 'jump' and 'play').
