Proto-Yenisseian: *s[e]ji
Meaning: furuncle; wound
Ket: śibaŋ6, śivaŋ6, pl. śibaɣań5 'furuncle'; (Werner 2, 190) śēj1 'Schramme'
Yug: sibaŋ6, pl. sibaŋɨn5 'furuncle'
Kottish: šei 'wound'; šei-pi 'wounding', šeja āpajaŋ 'to wound'
Comments: ССЕ 271. Werner 2, 192, 437 *sei. The Ket form definitely reflects a compound preserved in Kottish (but hardly with baʔŋ 'earth, place' as suggested by Werner).
