Meaning: 'horn'
Ometo: Shakko fära 'horn' Bla. Eleph., 196; comp. with She fäl, Benčo päl, fäl id. (all apud Mukarovsky). Though in Dolg.1973, 337, *-l- yields -r- in Ometo allowing for Shakko fära <*fäla, this correspondence requires further investigation, and for the moment, I prefer to separate the Shekko form from the She and Bencho terms in -l.
