Notes : Burrow and Emeneau unite this root with Kui ḍṛahpa (PK *gṛay-). This is possible only if we suggest that the Kui form has been secondarily enlarged by the -ay- suffix (*gaṭ-ay- > *gṛ-ay- > *ḍṛ-ay-).
