Proto-Dravidian : *keḍ- (*k̂-?)
Meaning : bush, shrub
Proto-Kolami-Gadba : *ceṭ Proto-North Dravidian : *kiṛ- Notes : If the Kolami-Gadba forms are original and not borrowed from Telugu (which is strongly suspected), the original consonant here is *k̂-. On the other hand, the voiced reflexes (with g-) in South Dravidian languages are also strange.
