Notes: The root is not widely spread, but seems phonetically and semantically reliable. It must have denoted some middle-sized wooden vessel. Cf. perhaps also Urart. kerǝ 'bowl' (see Diakonoff-Starostin 1986, 55), although the vocalism raises doubts.
