It would be perhaps better to compare PY *čɨʔ as a case of initial reduction with PNC *ɦǝ̄mVc̣_ŏ ( ~ ʕ-,-ʒ_-) `stone'? [In Bur. cf. rather Yas. ṣaṣól `small stones, gravel', Hun. ṣiṣk `very hard soil'].
